Ekso fits patients under 220 pounds and between 5′ and 6’4″.

 

Ekso comes with two sets of rechargeable lithium ion batteries that allow for continuous use.

 

Ekso Bionics exoskeletons are only available for patients from 5′ to 6′ 4″ and is FDA cleared for use for those who are 18 years old and over. Please contact Customer Relations for more information.

Ekso Indego

Basic requirements for users include the following: weight </= 250 lbs, height 5’1-6’3spinal cord injury at a level of T3 or below. Please visit our indications for use page for more information.

Yes, you may qualify for Ekso Indego at home. Please contact us to see if you are a candidate.

Yes, we will come to your clinic to train therapists on Ekso Indego in order to work with you through the training process.

 

Yes, the Ekso Bionics team will come to your facility to train clinicianon Ekso Indego to work with you through the training process. 

Ekso Indego weighs 31 pounds and is easy to transport for use in your home and
community. Ekso Indego allows you to stand and walk over even or uneven surfaces and wheelchair accessible ramps. Ekso Indego users can stand, walk, and participate in daily activities.

A support person can be anyonea friend, family member, or colleague. You may even select more than one who is available to go through the training process and be present when you use Ekso Indego at home and in the community. 

Aof 2024 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized a reimbursement rate for Ekso Indego. Eligible individuals with spinal cord injuries covered by Medicare will now have access to our life-changing technology. Check out our Medicare page to see if you are eligible for your own personal exoskeleton.

In addition, individuals may pursue Ekso Indego through many avenues including the VA (for veterans), workers’ comp, auto no fault, and on a case-by-case basis with other insurance. 

Ekso Indego uses a wireless iOS or Android application for real time setting adjustment and session controls.

Ekso EVO

Ekso EVO is covered under a limited warranty for 1 year. The details of this warranty can be found in the Operator Manual.

 

The entire set of soft goods can be changed in less than 5 minutes.

The soft goods are removable so that they can be washed or swapped to fit a different operator.

 

Ekso EVO requires minimal maintenance. Keeping your Ekso EVO clean is the most important aspect of maintenance. The recommended maintenance/cleaning schedule and instructions are included in the Operator Manual.

 

Yes, Ekso EVO is designed so an operator can easily put it on by themselves, similar to putting on a jacket.

Most people can put their Ekso EVO on in 15 – 30 seconds.

 

While wearing Ekso EVO, you should only lift the same amount of weight as you would without the device on.

Ekso EVO provides 5 – 15 lb. (2.2 – 6.8 kg) of list assistance per arm to give your natural strength a boost throughout your work day. This is NOT intended to give you super strength but instead give you super endurance and reduce fatigue so that you have more energy and less soreness at the end of your shift.  Whatever payload you normally lift (a 4 lb. torque wrench, a 10 lb. component, or even just the weight of your arm) will feel lighter with the boost you get from your Ekso EVO.
